THIS! It’s not every day you get asked to make a Willy Wonka wedding cake – so when we got the request, we were SUPER excited and went all out.

The bottom tier features edible wall paper, candy, the chocolate river and the original Willy Wonka boat (check out that sugar windshield)! The next two tiers are Willy’s suit… complete with the suede top hat (and yes, it actually looks like suede – we love trying new techniques).

Topping the hat is an Oompa Loompa and the infamous daffodil tea cup. And just for fun we added sugar bubbles up the side of the cake with a few music notes (which was a special element for the bride).

Of course, no Willy Wonka cake is complete without an edible custom golden ticket that reads the last line from the movie and the couple’s wedding date. =)
